Refurbishment of a West London apartment.

The 3 floor apartment was purchased because of its dramatic space with high ceilings and long walls, but a cramped entrance area and unsatisfactory accommodation detracted from its overall quality.

The brief was to improve general circulation and to create an environment that allowed the clients art to be the clear focus throughout the flat. Much of the ornate distraction to the art, while the elaborate cornice work, architraves and staircase balustrades were retained to avoid any sense of sterility.
